Alpha Bank Romania's capital adequacy ratio reached 23.6% at the end of 2015, up from 16.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 35.1% in 2005 and an all time low of 12.9% in 2010.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 16.5% at the end of 2015, up from 10.6% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 165% at the end of 2015, up from 137% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 130%.
When compared to bank's main peers, Banca Commerciala Romana ended the year 2015 with a capital adequacy ratio at 21.7% and loans to deposits of 76.1%, BRD Groupe Societe Generale with 19.1% and 65.1% respectively and Raiffeisen Bank Romania some 18.5% in terms of capital adequacy and 76.5% of loans to deposits at the end of 2015.
