This translates into a net margin of 7.21%. Historically, the firm’s net margin reached an all time high of 7.21% in 2014 and an all time low of 0.403% in 2009. The average net margin in the last five years amounted to 6.65%.
On the operating level, EBITDA margin reached 11.3% and EBIT amounted to 16.7% of sales in 2014.
As far as BMW Group's peers are concerned, Audi Group posted net and EBITDA margin of 8.12% and 14.1%, respectively in 2014, Daimler Group generated margins of 5.36% and 12.1% and Volkswagen Group's profit margin reached 5.43% on the net and 14.6% on the EBITDA level in 2014.
