BRE Bank is a textbook example of how to change a corporate/investment bank into one of the most successful retail banks in the country. As the equity market dried up and corporate lending slowed-down a decade ago, the management led by Mr. Lachowski came up with a retail project "mBank", which was then a smart Internet banking, an open platform focused on young professionals.
