CSOB Slovakia's non-performing loans reached 3.73% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 4.55% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 8.47% in 2010 and an all time low of 2.85% in 2007.
Provision coverage amounted to 59.3% at the end of 2015, up from 54.8% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 0.365% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 0.443% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, VUB Banka operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 4.71% and provision coverage of 84.7%, Slovenska Sporitelna with 5.56% and 65.7% respectively and Tatra banka had 4.16% of bad loans covered with 65.3% by provisions at the end of 2015.
