Erste Bank Hungary's capital adequacy ratio reached 19.6% at the end of 2017, down from 21.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 21.6% in 2016 and an all time low of 12.2% in 2010.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 16.5% at the end of 2017, up from 11.1% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 72.9% at the end of 2017, up from 72.0% when compared to the previous year.

Comparing Erste Bank Hungary with its closest peers, OTP Group ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 14.6% and loans to deposits of 75.1% and MKB Bank with 15.7% and 55.8% respectively.
