The bank generated its shareholders an average return on equity of -143% in the last five years with maximum at 287% and minimum at -1,918%.
When compared to bank's main peers, National Bank of Greece generated a net profit of EUR -2,050 mil with ROE of -96.0% in 4Q2015, Piraeus Bank Group netted EUR -1,238 mil(ROE of -5.71%) and Alpha Bank Group announced a net profit of EUR -622 mil implying ROE of -31.1%.
