Loan to Value On New Housing Loans in Hungary

While most of the mortgage loans were granted with loan to value ratio exceeding 60% in 2008 in Hungary, it was only a fifth of total during 2012. When looking at the statistics provided by the the Hungarian Central Bank, the risk appetitite of Hungarian banks is on the rise again. In 2013, more than 60% of new mortgage loans were granted with loan to value of higher than 50% (and 24.5% of total loans had LTV exceeding 70% in 4Q2013).
