Rafal Nadal continues to close in Roger Federer's lead on men's tennis career prize money leaders list. Following his victory at the 2014 French Open, Nadal's gap to Federer has narrowed to "only" $13 million. Novak Djokovic, the 2014 French Open finalist is currently #3 in the list with $65 million.

Tomas Berdych, currently the Czech Republic's best player is ranked #18 earning over $18 million so far, according to ATP statistics.

Having said that, prize money is only a part of tennis players' total income. Roger Federer has made $9.3 million on court in 2013 while he is expected to have made further $45 million off court, according to Forbes, in sponsor money and endorsements
