National Bank of Greece made a net profit of EUR -2,050 mil under revenues of EUR 524 mil in the fourth quarter of 2015, down 84.9% and 42% respectively when compared to the same period last year.

Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of EUR 965 mil in 2Q2014 and an all time low of EUR -2,050 mil in 4Q2015. The average profit in the last six quarters amounted to EUR -884 mil.

On the other hand, bank’s revenues amounted to an all time high of EUR 1,421 mil in 4Q2008 and an all time low of EUR 506 mil in 3Q2015. The average revenues in the last six quarters reached EUR 723 mil.

When compared to bank's main peers, Alpha Bank Group generated a quarterly net profit of EUR -622 mil with revenues of EUR 636 mil in 4Q2015, Piraeus Bank Group netted EUR -1,238 mil (revenues of EUR 605 mil) and Eurobank Group announced a net profit of EUR -175 mil (revenues of EUR 479 mil).
