Excel Sheet
Piraeus Bank Group is a Greece-based financial group providing various banking products and services in the Southeastern Europe, Greece, Western Europe, and Egypt. In the last five years, the Bank has made cummulative losses of nearly EUR 6.7 bil. The Greek economic, political and financial crisis translated into a fall in banking revenues, a hefty decline in asset prices and a massive deterioration in the asset quality. Foreign and domestic expansion has generated the Bank some economies of scale in the last decade, so operating costs have therefore declined from 2.6% in 2004 to 1.7% in 2014. On the other hand, cost to income ratio remains stuck at around 60% as economic crisis created hefty pressure on Bank's revenue generation.
