Raiffeisen Bank Hungary's non-performing loans reached 21.4% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 28.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 29.3% in 2013 and an all time low of 3.24% in 2007.
Provision coverage amounted to 71.9% at the end of 2015, down from 85.2% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of -1.10% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 4.61% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, OTP Group operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 17.0% and provision coverage of 93.4%, K&H Bank with 10.2% and 46.6% respectively and MKB Bank had 19.8% of bad loans covered with 97.8% by provisions at the end of 2015.
