SKB Banka's non-performing loans reached 11.3% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 14.1% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 14.3% in 2009 and an all time low of 3.40% in 2008.
Provision coverage amounted to 81.9% at the end of 2015, up from 79.5% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 0.419% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 1.42% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, Nova Ljubljanska banka operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 22.5% and provision coverage of 70.7%, NKBM Group with 13.1% and 195% respectively and UniCredit Bank Slovenia had 15.9% of bad loans covered with 63.4% by provisions at the end of 2015.
