UniCredit Tiriac Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 14.8% at the end of 2017, up from 12.4% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 15.9% in 2013 and an all time low of 11.4% in 2008.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 11.8% at the end of 2017, up from 11.6% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 84.5% at the end of 2017, down from 93.1% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 119%.
Comparing UniCredit Tiriac Bank with its closest peers, BRD Groupe Societe Generale ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 20.1% and loans to deposits of 67.0% and Raiffeisen Bank Romania with 15.5% and 74.6% respectively.
