Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Hungary in 2017, OTP Bank Hungary operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by MKB Bank and K&H Bank.

OTP Bank Hungary's loan to deposit ratio reached 51.9% at the end of 2017, down from 53.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 99.6% in 2008 and an all time low of 51.9% in 2017.

Comparing OTP Bank Hungary with its closest peers, MKB Bank ended the year 2017 with loans to deposits at 55.8%, K&H Bank with 58.0% and Raiffeisen Bank Hungary some 60.0% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
