Based on a comparison of 98 countries in 2016, Nepal ranked the highest in bank loans as a share of GDP with 2,585% followed by Benin and Liberia. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 3.72%, Burundi with 12.0% and Nigeria with 12.1%.
