Based on a comparison of 14 countries in 2010, Denmark ranked the highest in hip fracture surgery rate for patients 65 years and older with 94.3% followed by Sweden and Finland. On the other end of the scale was Italy with 36.8%, Switzerland with 48.3% and United Kingdom with 54.8%.
