Based on a comparison of 36 countries in 2014, Malta ranked the highest in hotel occupancy per bedplace with 58.1% followed by Cyprus and France. On the other end of the scale was Macedonia with 18.0%, Sierra Leone with 19.5% and Serbia with 19.5%.
