Based on a comparison of 109 countries in 2019, Malawi ranked the highest in pupil to teacher ratio in secondary education with 72.3 persons followed by Mozambique and Bangladesh. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 7.11 persons, Ukraine with 7.34 persons and Georgia with 7.58 persons.
