Based on a comparison of 79 countries in 2021, South Korea ranked the highest in researchers in R&D per mil of people with 8,714 persons followed by Sweden and Denmark. On the other end of the scale was Guatemala with 14.4 persons, Myanmar with 31.9 persons and Togo with 45.6 persons.
