Based on a comparison of 25 countries in 2017, India ranked the highest in buffalo meat production with 1,635,153 tonnes followed by Pakistan and China. On the other end of the scale was Bhutan with 10.0 tonnes, Brunei with 112 tonnes and Greece with 230 tonnes.
