Based on a comparison of 171 countries in 2014, China ranked the highest in production of cattle hides with 1,496,921 tonnes followed by USA and Brazil. On the other end of the scale was Seychelles with 0.440 tonnes, Bahamas with 2.20 tonnes and Equatorial Guinea with 8.90 tonnes.
Total production of cattle hides reached 7,995,698 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.57 % less than in the previous year and 6.26 % more than 10 years ago.
