Based on a comparison of 17 countries in 2014, China ranked the highest in hemp tow waste production with 19,568 tonnes followed by Dem. People's Republic of Korea and Netherlands. On the other end of the scale was Japan with 1.00 tonnes, Spain with 20.0 tonnes and South Korea with 20.0 tonnes.
Total hemp tow waste production reached 53,363 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 5.73 % less than in the previous year and -36.4 % less than 10 years ago.
Historically, total hemp tow waste production reached an all time high of 368,373 tonnes in 1966 and an all time low of 45,969 tonnes in 2010. The average annual growth amounted to -3.20 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, China, accounted for 36.7 % of hemp tow waste production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 87.9 % share while the ten largest countries some 121 % in 2014.
