Total pig meat production reached 109,009 kt in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.05 % less than in the previous year and 14.6 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total pig meat production reached an all time high of 112,333 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 24,761 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 2.84 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, China, accounted for 45.8 % of pig meat production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 59.1 % share while the ten largest countries some 75.1 % in 2014.
