Based on a comparison of 168 countries in 2014, China ranked the highest in sheep meat production with 2,184 kt followed by Australia and New Zealand. On the other end of the scale was Hong Kong with < 0.001 kt, Fiji with 0.008 kt and Mauritius with 0.008 kt.
Total sheep meat production reached 8,238 kt in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 4.27 % less than in the previous year and 4.88 % more than 10 years ago.
