Based on a comparison of 27 countries in 2014, China ranked the highest in silkworm cocoons, reelable production with 388,637 tonnes followed by India and Uzbekistan. On the other end of the scale was France with 1.00 tonnes, Azerbaijan with 1.00 tonnes and Taiwan with 2.00 tonnes.
Total silkworm cocoons, reelable production reached 557,606 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 2.92 % less than in the previous year and 21.6 % more than 10 years ago.
