Which Government Owns the Largest State-Owned Petroleum Stock?

Based on a comparison of 19 countries in 2014, USA ranked the highest in state petroleum stocks with 691 mil barrels followed by Japan and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Estonia with 0.686 mil barrels, Slovenia with 3.54 mil barrels and Slovakia with 5.40 mil barrels.

Total state petroleum stocks reached 1,410 mil barrels in 2014 in the World according to EIA. This is 12.3 % less than in the previous year and -2.73 % less than 10 years ago.
