Based on a comparison of 18 countries in 2016, Spain ranked the highest in lower-medium cars as a share of new cars sold with 34.0% followed by Finland and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Italy with 19.0%, Iceland with 24.0% and Greece with 24.3%.
