Asbestos production reached 14,586 tonnes in 1988 in Cyprus, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 19.3% less than in the previous year.
Historically, asbestos production in Cyprus reached an all time high of 36,684 tonnes in 1977 and an all time low of 7,429 tonnes in 1984.
