Asylum applicants reached 1,745 persons in 2014 in Cyprus, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 39.0% more than in the previous year.
Historically, asylum applicants in Cyprus reached an all time high of 9,675 persons in 2004 and an all time low of 225 persons in 1998.
