Catches in major fishing areas reached 251,268 Tonnes live weight in 2015 in Germany, according to Eurostat. This is 16.2% more than in the previous year.

Historically, catches in major fishing areas in Germany reached an all time high of 276,078 Tonnes live weight in 2006 and an all time low of 182,826 Tonnes live weight in 2000.
