Based on a comparison of 32 countries in 2012, Germany ranked the highest in crimes recorded by the police with 5,997 '000 followed by United Kingdom and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Montenegro with 5.83 '000, Iceland with 11.7 '000 and Malta with 15.6 '000.
