Based on a comparison of 27 countries in 2017, China ranked the highest in electricity production from coal sources with 4,360,863 GWh followed by USA and India. On the other end of the scale was Iran with 462 GWh, Argentina with 1,733 GWh and United Kingdom with 22,580 GWh.
