Based on a comparison of 24 countries in 2017, Italy ranked the highest in number of fattening pigs 110 kg or over with 2,251 '000 followed by Spain and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Cyprus with 0.940 '000, Malta with 1.11 '000 and Luxembourg with 6.97 '000.
