Based on a comparison of 54 countries in 2022, China ranked the highest in horse meat production with 159,069 tonnes followed by Kazakhstan and Mongolia. On the other end of the scale was Luxembourg with 1.40 tonnes, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 4.93 tonnes and Madagascar with 5.35 tonnes.
