Based on a comparison of 172 countries in 2020, Sierra Leone ranked the highest in infant mortality per 1,000 live births with 80.1 followed by Central African Republic and Somalia. On the other end of the scale was Iceland with 1.50, Estonia with 1.70 and Japan with 1.80.
