Based on a comparison of 25 countries in 2011, Germany ranked the highest in total letters handled by postal service with 14,800 mil followed by Italy and Netherlands. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 43.6 mil, Bulgaria with 48.0 mil and Macedonia with 70.2 mil.
