Production of passenger cars reached 55,834 thousand in 2020 in the World, according to ACEA. This is 16.9% less than in the previous year.

Historically, production of passenger cars in the World reached an all time high of 73,457 thousand in 2017 and an all time low of 37,925 thousand in 1998.
