Iron ore production reached 392 kt in 2008 in Slovakia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 31.2% less than in the previous year.
Historically, iron ore production in Slovakia reached an all time high of 1,092 kt in 1993 and an all time low of 287 kt in 2003.
