Lignite coal production reached 3,492 kt in 2015 in Slovenia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.93% more than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Slovenia reached an all time high of 4,745 kt in 1997 and an all time low of 3,426 kt in 2014.
Slovenia has been ranked 25th within the group of 35 countries we follow in terms of lignite coal production.
