Based on a comparison of 70 countries in 2011, Greece ranked the highest in number of maritime merchant vessels with 71,420 vessels followed by Singapore and Malta. On the other end of the scale was Slovenia with 0.350 vessels, Montenegro with 2.70 vessels and Kenya with 7.87 vessels.
