Based on a comparison of 31 countries in 2016, Germany ranked the highest in production of cheese (cows' milk with 2,285 kt followed by France and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Montenegro with 1.07 kt, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 6.32 kt and Iceland with 13.1 kt.
