Based on a comparison of 10 countries in 2017, Italy ranked the highest in Rice - Area (cultivation/harvested/production) with 234 1,000 ha followed by Turkey and Spain. On the other end of the scale was Switzerland with 0.090 1,000 ha, Hungary with 2.89 1,000 ha and Macedonia with 4.85 1,000 ha.
