Based on a comparison of 69 countries in 2022, Sudan ranked the highest in sesame seed production with 1,231,701 tonnes followed by India and Myanmar. On the other end of the scale was Panama with 9.86 tonnes, Jordan with 11.3 tonnes and Japan with 13.9 tonnes.
