Based on a comparison of 21 countries in 2016, France ranked the highest in subsidies on animals with USD 862 mil followed by Spain and Poland. On the other end of the scale was Austria with USD 4.54 mil, Latvia with USD 7.87 mil and Estonia with USD 8.51 mil.
