Based on a comparison of 42 countries in 2017, USA ranked the highest in total health expenditure as a percentage of GDP with 17.2% followed by Switzerland and France. On the other end of the scale was Turkey with 4.23%, Romania with 5.01% and Russia with 5.26%.
