Bulgarian Labour Market

Language: English
Provider: Helgi Library

The report describes the key trends about how Bulgarians work. Most of the key statistics are presented in comparison with other CEE countries and more developed economies. You can find useful data on how many Bulgarians work and how much. This includes statistics such as the number of males and females working (in total, or as the total population or as a share of people of productive age), how many hours they spend on average at work now, over the last two decades, or compared to their neighbours, and who the main employers giving them a job are. Second, the report compares the compensation of Bulgarian workers, again in absolute terms, between males and females or in comparison with other countries. Last, we show how flexible the Bulgarian market is regarding indicators describing part-time work or the involvement of women at work or in executive positions
