Bulgarian Transport & Infrastructure

Language: English
Provider: Helgi Library
Pages: 6
The report describes the key trends in Bulgarian transport and infrastructure. You should get a basic idea of how Bulgarians travel, what vehicles they use, and how dense a network they can use. Most of the key statistics are presented in comparison with other CEE countries and more developed economies. First, we describe road transport, in terms of both passengers and goods. You should find data about the number and use of passenger cars, buses, and lorries, the road and motorway network, and safety on the road (such as the numbers of people killed or injured). Second, you should find a comparison of road transport with that on the railways, including how much Bulgarians travel by train (in total, or average distance), how many vehicles Bulgarians use, and what the capacity of rail transport is. Third, the report provides basic information about water and air travel, in terms of both passengers and cargo
