Východočeská plynárenská a.s. (VČP) is a Czech-based company primarily involved in the regional distribution and trading of natural gas. The Company offers a range of supplementary services and products such as maintenance, repair, and construction of gas facilities, researching the causes of losses of natural gas, measurement and metrology in the gas industry and others. Since 2010, the Company offers natural gas along with electricity all around the Czech Republic. As its company's name suggests, VČP operates mainly in the Eastern part of Bohemia. The Company is owned by Germany's RWE Group.
Germany's RWE Group is the second largest electricity producer in Germany. The Company supplies electricity and gas to more than 20 mil electricity customers and 10 mil gas customers, principally in Europe.
