Value added of agriculture as a share of GDP fell 4.25% to 21.8% in Nigeria in 2015, according to Faostat.

Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Nigeria reached an all time high of 48.6% in 2002 and an all time low of 21.0% in 2013. When compared to Nigeria's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Benin amounted to 36.5%, 23.2% in Cameroon, 53.5% in Chad and 38.3% in Niger in 2015.
