Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Laos reached an all time high of 61.8% in 1992 and an all time low of 26.5% in 2013. When compared to Laos's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Cambodia amounted to 35.3%, 10.0% in China, 12.5% in Thailand and 19.4% in Vietnam in 2015.
